Statement signers

Christians across the theological spectrum are uniting to oppose the political ideology of Christian nationalism, which seeks to merge Christian and American identities, distorting both our Christian faith and America’s system of government.

Who are the signers of the Christians Against Christian Nationalism statement?

Launched in July 2019, this campaign began with a statement of principles, and all Christians are invited to join us in signing the statement. By demonstrating common ground across the broad Christian family, we serve as a resource for those combating the damaging ideology of Christian nationalism and those engaging in civil dialogue.

We have more than 40,000 signers, and they represent the diversity of our country and the diversity of Christianity in America:

  • More than six dozen different denominations

  • Representing all 50 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico

  • Rural, urban, and suburban areas

  • A mix of clergy and active churchgoers

How many signers are in my state?

Not only are signers of the Christians Against Christian Nationalism statement in every single state, but we also have signers in every congressional district.

You can mouse over the map in this section to see how many people in your state signed the statement. As of our most recent update, we had the highest number of statement signers in Texas and the fewest in Puerto Rico.
